The easiest pieces to either carve or tear off. Contains less fat and cholesterol compared to other areas of the body.
Take a stroll through your butcher shop and compare rump steak to shoulder cuts or ribs. which are often marbled.
Whilst there is a fat content to the gluteas it is very easily separated from the outer areas of the main meat It would be prime cut for me

that even looks good to none canibals ,
especially in Amrica ,both to women and men like to have a bite in the other or at least slap it.
and as far as food is concerned its a lot of boneless meat in one place
