Ok, I'm 23, not high school stuff here don't worry.

So, is it just me, or do you find yourselves getting into situations where you KNOW there is not positive outcome? Like having a crush on someone already in a relationship, falling for someone that lives too far away to have a real relationship, stuff like that. ie, do you put yourselves, like I do, into relationship positions that you know could never actually work out? Maybe a defence mechanism, keep ourselves from being hurt?

Yea i do, life is a risk...if we don't take it, how can we know that it ain't gonna work or gonna fail right? Take it as a challenge as long as u can take it. I've done long distance relationship and i think it's good..builts up trust n love for that person. And if it don't work, then move on.

Yeah. I think I used to be attracted to guys that I knew it wouldn't work out with. They'd either be big jerks or just unobtainable because they weren't single or whatever...my friends always said they saw a pattern and maybe I was subconsciously going for those guys because it was safe. Because I couldn't get too hurt by already knowing it wouldn't work out. Or maybe I just wasn't ready to commit to anyone so I was never attracted to people I could actually have a real relationship with. But I'm only a year older than you and I'm starting to see my tastes change in men. I'm not as attracted to someone that I can't have anyways and don't really care to waste my time worrying about them. So maybe it's just a phase for you too.

when i was 15, i refused to accept one person love because i thought i wanted to concentrate on my study. he was really trying to win me but i was not giving him any chance. but after i was accepted to university, i wanted to accept him and love him. but during that time, he was already married. but still he asked me to wait for him. he said he still love me and he maried that woman because he has child with her. i was really sad and wanted to hate him. i really dont know why i still wait for him and its already 13 years. i still hope that he will come back and keep his promise. that make me refuse to open myself to anyone else.

Yes, i agreed with you. we close our mind and refused to accept the fact because we do not want to accept our mistake.
