Men show their feelings through action. Women show them through talking. Women will always show more feelings than men because of higher levels of the estrogen hormone.
Women expects us to be their rock when their world crumbles down around them, that is our role amongst many.
Its true that women gets touched when they see a man sheds a few tears. But think about it, do you really want an overemotional mangina who talks about their feelings all the time or do you like men for being men. Otherwise you might as well be dating one of your girlfriends.
Its good to show emotions as a man from time to time. But as much as women think they want an emotional man. You will be put off by it in the long run.

as a male, i can tell u it is coz of 2 reasons :1.pride 2.shyness
when u accept u love s.o u are surrendering to her, and letting the one know this, breaks pride and locates the man in the weak position. and as men -in general, historically- are not supposed to be so emotional -except some exceptions!- they also feel shy to express their feelings. after all, it's hard to say it the way it is, isn't it?
anyway, don't depend on words u hear so much. if one loves u, u feel it through every moment he's standing by you, and every moment he's away from u. languages are far way weak to communicate, express, and show love.

Weakness.
Humans are animals, and weakness means that your a prey. Men are protectors, so we always have to be strong.
Let it go- do not force a man to show his feelings, love him, let him love you and when the time is right he will smile, laugh, cry, and show you all of his emotions. Do not force it and do not think he will do it in public, he is showing you his bare open belly (metaphorical here) when he shows his emotions.

Because it makes you vulnerable. If no one knows what you are feeling, they tend to be more intimidated by you. Sometimes, you have to watch for the little things they do to show their feelings. Eventually, a guy will open up, but it takes a while...

because they were taught that showing feelings means that you are WEAK...not MANLY ENOUGH...not a man...of course those things have nothing to do with being a man but sadly...that's what the popular belief was...
feelings is for women...thats the stupid things society taught us.
We don't have to accept this sheet anymore!!!!
I am glad that nowadays men are beginning to be more open.

Its not that we don't show them. We don't have any. At least not to the extent of crying everytime an Enya song comes on.

because they are males & women should not try & change them into females
men go to war & they are different to women
they slaughter all the meat & men stuff women don't want to do so women should not try to make them weak

Because it can make us feel vulnerable. and thats not good for our egos. But with the right person, we compromise.
