this has been going on for a few years. during the winter, when my hands get cold outside, they turn white and it takes a long time to get the circulation moving in them again. i won't even be outside for very long, just walking from one place to another that's fairly close. my fingers kind of hurt, too when this happens.

It's poor circulation...I have it, and it runs in my family. I can be doing nothing at all, or evne be wearing gloves, and if the temperature in any room or outside drops the tiniest bit too low, my hands go white and are like ice for HOURS. The only quick fix is running your hands under a hot tap, then immediately putting on gloves....it works best for me. :) Hope I helped!

Sounds like poor circulation. Try exercising for 30 minutes a day to get more heart healthy. I bet that'll help!
Good luck

You don't have enough blood in your body. When you're out in the cold all the blood rushes to your heart in order to keep you warm. You use up a lot of energy in cold temperatures and the more energy you use the whiter your hands become. Have you donated blood in the recent past?

You hands got frost bitten. You probally have had a previous cold injury to your hands. Each time your hands get frostbitten it make them more suceptible to cold injury. It is also possible that you have a circulation problem or maybe diabetis, better go see a doctor for advice.

It could be Lupus. Those were the first symptoms my friend had before she was diagnosed. It's a serious disease that affects every organ in your body and you need continual medical care. Please see a doctor. It even affects your eyesight.
