All Muslim believers believe that, ultimately, Islam will prevail on earth. They believe this is the only true religion and their is no room, in their mind, for interpretation. The main difference between moderate Muslims and extremists is that moderate Muslims don't think they will see the absolute victory of Islam during their life time, therefore they respect other beliefs. The extremists believe that the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Islam and ruling the entire world as described in the Koran, is for today. Each victory of Bin Laden convinces 20 million moderate Muslims to become extremists.

Pierre Rehov is a French filmmaker who has filmed six documentaries on the intifada by going undercover in the Palestinian areas. Pierre's upcoming film, "Suicide Killers," is based on interviews that he conducted with the families of suicide bombers and would-be bombers in an attempt to find out why they do it.

its odd how the muslims call themselves martyrs when they blow themselves up..like just because they have a cause (whether good or bad) they deserve the title of martytr...so the people who jump off bridges or tall buildings arent martyrs? what if they had a reason? lol muslims...they try to make THEMSELVES holy they think they have that right lol...last time i checked, being a martyr means u have to be murdered because of something u believed in...doesnt mean killing urself for something u believe in..those people are called stupid (stoo-pid is how u pronounce it).....martyrs are John the Baptist....suicide bombers...not martyrs...dumbies...

The interpretation is beyond doubt, its set in stone. No muslim, moderate or extreme, whatever you want to call them will differ in this aspect. The difference lies in the context in which they justify the jihad and martyrdom. The moderates think that only during war time, ie when the muslim world unanimously declares war against the non-muslims or vice-versa, ie the world declares war against the muslims, only then can they take up arms and fight jihad and become martyrs. The extremist on the other hand believe that such a state of war is already in existence, as such, jihad is made mandatory.

I am Muslim and I look at Jihad as an everyday struggle. It isn't just the fighting with guns I'm tallking about. I am talk about the everyday hurdles. As for martyrdom, yes I've been accused of more than once of having the Joan-of-Arc complex more than once, which has happened in my personal life.
Never generalize that Bin Laden will convince me of anything. I have my own mind; a mind which I am not afraid to use. The way Bin Laden is going about it will not convince anyone the truth about Islam. You have my permission (you don't really need it) to laugh at him, but do not laugh at all Muslims. There are those of us who do not agree with his ways. There are much better ways to go about achieving ones goals and we both know I am right.
A blood bath will only kill and when you kill there is no one left. When no one is left what's the use in conversion?

Jihad is often mistakenly described as "holy war." Explore what the true meaning of Jihad is: a constant struggle to preserve one's faith and defend the rights to freedom of worship
The Qur'an describes Jihad as a system of checks and balances, as a way that Allah set up to "check one people by means of another." When one person or group transgresses their limits and violates the rights of others, Muslims have the right and the duty to "check" them and bring them back into line. There are several verses of the Qur'an that describe jihad in this manner.

Islam never tolerates unprovoked aggression from its own side; Muslims are commanded in the Qur'an not to begin hostilities, embark on any act of aggression, violate the rights of others, or harm the innocent.

Even hurting or destroying animals or trees is forbidden. War is waged only to defend the religious community against oppression and persecution, because the Qur'an says that "persecution is worse than slaughter" and "let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (Qur'an 2:190-193). Therefore, if non-Muslims are peaceful or indifferent to Islam, there is no justified reason to declare war on them.

I AM A CHRISTIAN AND I WILL ANSWER THIS!! I believe anyone who comes to another country, kills many innocent people, without provication is in fact a Terrorist. What happened on 9/11 in the US was an act of Terrorism. Whether the Muslims did it or not, will be judged one day by God. The US troops are now defending our country and our freedom, which was threatened on 9/11.......I thank God, that I am saved, sanctified and washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, Who died on Calvary's Hill and rose again the 3rd day to wash me of my sins! Through the Blood of Jesus Christ, I will one day be in His Glorious Presence, away from all the suffering, pain and anger of this morally declining world which we live in!

No, all Muslims do not interpret jihad and martyrdom in the same way. Your critique of Islam seems to be based on a fear of it. There is nothing to fear of Islam.
