Hello. I have a 116 MB .mov video and I would like to compress it (no matter the output format) so that is is 100 MB or less. I'm looking for a free way to do this. I don't care if it puts a water mark on it (just a water mark, but I don't like solid letters) but I need to compress the whole video (60 minutes), not just a few minutes of it. The quality is not very important. Please help!

Can't tell you off the bat, but you probably want to get the MOV file into MPEG format. That will save space right there, as MPEG-1 uses more compression. Also once you have it in MPEG format, there are a ton of free tools on the net such as TMPGEnc to help you with compression.

no longer likely , the clarification is that video clips is maximum cutting-side formats (avi, mpeg, divx, .rm, .mov) are already compressed, all the well-known formats use their very own exceptionally optimized compression, so re compressing them at superb grants you a fragile progression 2-3% smaller. this is why people do no longer compress video information with zip, simply by fact the information are already in a compressed format.
