That is a nice thought and you may if you please. But, it has been shown statistically that prayer does not increase the chances of an event happening. One study of sick patients even showed that those who were prayed for did worse than those who weren't. The study was ended early for ethical reasons.

Sorry,

Life aught to, but doesn't work that way. All the teachings of God show that he has shown us the way to deal with this. It's like this: Don't pray to win the lottery, Go out and buy a ticket.

I don't pray for peace because that's not what God wants. Obviously God wants war and conflict. And God's going to get it!

Instead of sitting around asking someone else to fix your problems, why not go out and DO SOMETHING? Chances are there are opportunities for you to do good and help someone right in your own neighborhood and town, if you stop waiting for god to do it for you.
