He is a little poor in condition, so could also lack muscle, but definitely exhibits the above structure. Is this a problem where teampenning, campdrafting, tough bush rides, general soundness are concerned? Cheers, hope someone can help, not had much luck on the net.

I also have only heard that term used to describe Akhal Tekes. That breed physically lacks a thigh muscle found in other breeds, giving them their unusual appearance. Not to worry though, it is completely normal, and as the above answer indicates they are a hardy breed capable of competing in almost any arena.

If it's a Akhal-Teke, that's not a fault you should care about (that's a standard condition among that race horsing breed). They are built for speed and stamina (and war) and beyond looking a little different, this horse should work well out in the brush (since they were brought up in the desert by Turkish tribesmen known as Akhal-Teke). If you want, it should make a good jumping horse.
