depends where u want to buy it.
if u r buying from a petstore then do not.......... they more than likely have come from puppy mills and will end up causing more money in vet bills.
if you r buying from a reputable breeder with health gurantees and vet checked, even first puppy shots and wormed great, but u need proof this was ever done for the sake of ur dog.. There r alot of back yard breeders out there that just breed 2 breed and u end up with a unhealthy dog. They will lie 2 u and say things r done when they arent

now 2 answer ur question.
prove 2 ur husband u really want this dog and u will even let him pick it out with u. show him all the proof he needs that it is a guranteed bloodline and healthy.
it prob is he cannot see paying 900.00 on a dog, if it has health gurantees that may help

Get him in a really good mood and present him with tons of information about the breed and why you choose it. Here are some good points of the breed:
Temperment: affectionate and dependable gently with children but at the same time a good gaurd dog

Size: They are only 12-16 inches tall but way 53-55 pounds

Health problems:Breathing problems MOST DOGS REQUIRE C-SECTION for the birth thats why they are so expensive

Excercise: They don't require yards and are good indoor dogs

Average Life Span: 8 years old

Grooming: Brush everyonce in awhile but wash there face everyday in between wrinkles

If you show your husband how much time youve spent researching the breed it should help convince him. Some champagne and a fun night might also help. (Im purchasing a 700 dollar show cockerspaniel so I know how you feel)

Just write the check yourself and then tell him you bought a dog.. or just say oh by the way im buying a 900 dollar dog..its simple to the point and well might cause an issue but if you believe in what you are doing, then its worth it.I had the same issue the other day .. except i gave a family that is struggling a rather large sum of money .The wife was angry with me but after we talked about it she finally said it was ok but I should have said something first..I didn't feel I needed to but well right or wrong I probably should have so maybe you should to.. just a thought.

First you and your husband need to talk and find out why he doesn't want a dog. Second if you take of these people advice it could cause problems for you and your husband and between the dog. Which is not fair to the dog. If he feels that is way too much money to spend on a dog, try and make a compromise, get a rescue dog. They can be very good dogs and plus you help one get there forever home.

There are many dogs in shelters and on petfinder.com that need homes. 900 for a dog is alot. I have VERY high quality dogs for their breed and i didnt pay 900 for both dogs together. I understand some breeders charge a lot I guess I got lucky! good luck. if your finances are very good and you have the money to spend then it shouldnt be too much of an issue

Get a job and get the dog yourself. You'll need more money than the $900, as the dog will need vaccinations, food, toys, leashes and collars, and you want to make sure you can afford to take care of the dog if something else should come up. You can't just count on needing only $900

As a dog breeder.... the entire family has to want the dog or they do not buy from me.

$900 is a low price for a purebred Bulldog. Be sure of the quality (or lack of) for that price. Be sure you get a written health guarantee. If they don't offer one, buy elsewhere.

With all the dogs being put to sleep in shelters, buying a $900.00 dog seems a little self indulgent, I think. If you really want the dog that badly, buy it yourself

it depends on your finances . if your tight on money then you will have to earn it yourself because your on a budget an you husband would not see purpose in it so you can throw a garage sale or something to raise money ( theres english bulldog rescues where its much cheaper on the internet) . but if finances are good then you need to just say thats whats going to make you happy an he should do it for you .

You don't. You realize that that's a ridiculous expenditure for a low quality dog.

I'm assuming it's purebred.
That's bad. They're often genetically inferior to mixed breeds. And those you can get for cheap, or free.

Don't be greedy and wasteful. Get a cheap dog and give the rest to starving children, or something.
