Where can I buy coconut in California?

Question

Where in Los Angeles do they sell coconut that they open for you after you drink the juice so you can eat the inside white meat?

I'm from Hawaii and there are places you can just buy and they do it for you, do they have any out here? I bought the ones from the grocery store but they're hard to open and the white meat is not fresh.

I've purchased young coconuts from 99 ranch market. The husks are partially taken off and they are wrapped in saran wrap. All you have to do is crack the top and you can drink the juice and eat the tender meat.

Never tried that one, but there are many different brands of coconut rum. If you can't find that one, try another brand.

why dont you just buy it at the grocery store? fresh and do all the work yourself! lol i take a srew driver and poke holes wehre they are. drain the jice and just chuck the thing against the ground. and its fine! (of coure i throw away all of the meat that directly touches the ground. but it isnt much) lol

Whole Foods i think usually has them. There's one in Sherman Oaks, one in Westwood, and one in Woodland Hills, off the top of my head.

Any Latin market, or ask any of the guys at Whole Foods. Even Gelsons will do it for you.

you can buy it from any oriental store. we have a lot here in San Jose
