There's no sure proof way to make the transition from friends to something more without the friendship having a risk of falling apart. Take a good look at your feelings and decide, is it just a crush? Or is it something more? Don't rush into that answer, take a few days to think about it. Once you know for certain, go from there. If its just a crush, don't even go there, the friendship will be ruined. If its something more, wait a while, see if it fades or if your feelings are genuine. If they are, its up to you decide whether or not you risk the friendship by going for it.

Either way, good luck!

There's no sure way. Just tell them and see where that goes. If you don't tell them you'll wonder what if. If they don't feel the same way you can move on....more than likely with a strained friendship. That's how it worked in my case. Hurt like heck but it all worked out in the end. She's a friend some 15 years later.

Ummm it would really count on how long you have been friends with the guy. I have been best friends with a guy for almost 6 yrs...I had a crush on him since the day we met. I finally told him how i felt about him about 2 yrs ago. Come to find out that he also cared about me.....I had the same worry that we wouldn't be friends if he ever found out. There were a lot of reason's for that mainly cause of the race thing...I worried about how people would react.....but he didn't care what other's thought. It brought us closer together....and made the friendship stronger. Guy's are different about their thinking though....so I would say to just slowly start to give hint's and see what happens....good luck and I hope everything works out...

Well, can you notice any particular signs that they like you as much as you like them? cos that would be a start. If not, ask them but do it in a really subtle way. Like you could ask a "theoretical" question without letting them know that you like them. Then if you get a really positive answer, plan your next move. That's all i can suggest.

Not unless you want your feelings hurt. If he liked you, then he would have spoken up already regardless of the friendship. Trust me, it has happened to me before.

HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!! well its best that u dont mention it explicitly to him... if he is truly ur best friend i gues he will figure it out himself...

even i had the same problem... all i did was wait for her to break up with the people she was with .. then ultimately she understood that ... others were just nice to her just to impress her and that i was nice to her expecting nothin in return.... so she realised *!...

best thing to do is stay good friends and wait for the right time!... this happen on their own..... dont loose hope

Go for it! its better to tell the person than spending the rest of your life wondering. if the feeling isn't mutual and the person freaks out they weren't you true friend anyway.

Ask them if theyve seen "my best friends wedding" and try to open up from there, but theres a chance you'll be heartbroken but either way, you will develop emotionally.

Wait, you say 'them', its not a girl is it? ; )
