I have bad skin, and I've tried everything, but nothing has worked, not even Pro Active. Today I bought and used these two differt types of soaps, one just a regular soap specially treated for people with acne-prone skin, and another made with cocoa butter for uneven skin complexion. After I used them, I thought, oh no, is it bad to mix these two different products on my face?
It started to burn, and it still does a little, and I'm not sure if it means it's working or if I'm getting even more inflamed. Is there anything anyone can tell me?

Save your money and go for laser treatments. It's the only thing that's virtually guaranteed to work.

i have had the same problem as you for what seemed to be forever. I tend to break out the most around that time of the month. So far the best thing I have found is just go back to the basics. I make sure I was my face 2x times a day. I use a mild soap called Cetaphil its cheap 2 dollars a bar, and its for very sensitive skin. If your skin is burning you have sensitive skin too so just try this and see if it works. Also follow up with a good skin moisturizer at night I use Eucerin, a little pricey, but it works and will not make you break out. Good luck!

I had the same issue. Pro Active did not work me because I have sensitive skin. After struggling for some time I used Neutrogena Advanced Solutions and I saw results quickly. After using for a while my sensitive skin kicked in and I had to stop using it. If your skin isn't real sensitive it should work. But if it is then use Peroxide. I just put some on a cotton ball and dab it on the affect area. I read in a magazine that is works. It cleared up my face and there are no side affects that I've noticed. Good luck.

I sometimes have a problem with bad skin too - and sometimes creams and other topical applications just don't seem to work. Sometimes the problem lies within. You could have an intolerance to certain kinds of foods like dairy products. You could have an allergy test done to find out what foods you are allergic to. Unfortunately stress can also be a contributing factor...and its hard to get rid of that! My advice is to eat healthily, exercise and try to relax. I wish you all the best.
