I don't. Intelligent Design is an easy excuse. it is a way of saying "God did it, therefore the matter is closed!" It is a way of brushing off difficult questions without having to look for the answers or admit that you do not know the answers.

It's way too open ended to be considered science though. If you have intelligent being as cause for something fundamentally it is not falsifiable since the idea allow too much ad/hoc theories. Believing in god is one thing, but believing pseudo-science is real science is another thing. Any criticism about intelligent design can be deferred to 'creator' or say 'you don't know the creator's intention.' This is why ID is not considered science by majority of scientists. Sure there may be things people can't explain, but simply deferring explanation to other 'intelligent' being can't be considered a scientific. 'Scientific evidences' don't mean a thing if the hypothesis is pesudo-scientific.

I do believe it is the nature of biological organisms to advance or die but I do not draw the conclusion that there is any guiding force (a third party) involved in that - unless of course we are just all living in some petrie dish in the lab of some mad scientist. If the later is the case, I don't need to know about it and certainl wouldn't view it as a spiritual occurance.

I believe in it also. Atheists prefer to think that all people that do are vastly undereducated, which is not true. While I believe a lot of Atheists are intelligent and educated, I also find that they are not capable of questioning their own science themselves. Atheism has become a religion of it's own. Notably a couple of people that answered you about how stupid you have to be to believe in intelligent design were not smart enough to use spell check, or use decent grammar!

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

I think the appendix is not very intelligent so if intelligent design holds any credibility then we have to admit that God is an idiot.

Intelligent design is just another way of saying "creationism" and trying to make it sound scientific.

As you can see, most ppl who believe in 'intelligent design' doesn't have a brain to think for themselves, and wow, life is so complex.. bla bla.... it is not if you try to understand it..
