Seafood extender is made from catfish fillets that are imported into Australia from the Mekong River. Catfish are bottom-of-the-river feeders. The red colour in the mix is actually a food colouring to suggest there is crab in the mix.

A man-made replacement for sefood. looks and smells like, but is not seafood.

Reconstituted seafoody tasting stuff made from offcuts, flavouring and filler. Used to add bulk to seafood salads etc as it is cheaper than the 100% real goods.
