There's nothing inherently wrong with religion. The problem is that some people accept it on blind faith and not only reject anything that contradicts their beliefs without even considering that it might be correct, but then try to force their views on others, and actively interfere with education on certain topics (most notably, science). But even then it's a separate issue from racism. The only way to eliminate racism is to eliminate racists. Not all racists are religious, and not all religious believers are racist.

Seriously...You want to get rid of religion? Hmm-m, interesting idea. Exactly how did you propose to do that? Did you plan to purchase an eraser, and just erase the word from your dictionary? Or did you have something else in mind?

In your haste to eliminate racism may I suggest that you first get the best possible education you can. Get it for yourself, not for me, and not to fight racism. Get it for yourself. Because, in some countries you cannot get a good education if you are the minority color, minority race, or the downcast/oppressed society.

Then, when you have matured somewhat, begin treating people with dignity and equality every day. You will shine as an example of a non-racist. Others will notice that. The ones that hate you for it are racists in your own society. The ones that like you for where you stand are the hope that some day all will be treated equally.

Are you going to eliminate churches ? true religion has been ministering to people all over the world so how can you ask a silly question like that. I hope it is just to get answers. You got mine. no what you are suggesting is against others and so that is a form of religious racism

No

Racism is slowly being eliminated by the young who naturally reject the thinking of the old.

In 1962 in a Lutheran Church School we were told a black child might be coming in and we were NOT to be nasty or give them a hard time. That's pretty liberal thinking for the religious in 1962!

There are many schools that don't teach religion as part of the curricula. I don't see any improvement in the outcomes of education as a result. Raceism has nothing to do with how well you are educated Many well educated people embrace raceism the same as poorly educated.

Get rid of religion and you will find that people will still have the same view points. Religion has nothing to do with it. What needs to happen here is that people start looking at things differently, when they do that they start to think differently.

It is Christ that makes us brothers and sisters and the world that divides."There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus" Galatians 3:28.There is no excuse for a racist nor should there be any excuse for your ignorance when God's word is spoken so freely. You would do yourself a favor by reading the Bible while your getting educated.

racism has nothing to do with religion. though close but they're two different things.

and no, i think by getting rid of religion you might have even worst cases of racism. religion are superstitious but they do teach basic lessons on morals. notice how there are people of different colors under one religion. just like there are people of different colors under one political ideology (e.g. socialism?). it is problems with beliefs like nazism, not religion, that brings forth racism.

i am atheist.
