im pretty sure its a German shepherd but the owner said it was crossed with something?

i believe it is a german shep x doberman. maybe a little kelpie in there somewhere along the line. this is just what i see in the dog, i may be wrong, but it looks very much like this cross. the dog is very gorgeous though!! i hope u find the answer that u r looking for, and that i was able to help u out! =)

It's definitely not 100% purebred German Shepherd - there is something mixed in but it looks so much like a German Shepherd it's very hard to tell.

Yeah, it's deffinatly mostly a German Shepherd. I can see that there's something else in it...there's just a slight hint in it's body and fur that don't look German Shepherd to me, but who knows what it could be since the dog looks so much like a german shepherd.

Could be any number or degree of mix - but my guess is that it is over 50% German Shepherd. Remember, mixed breeds are generally better dogs (both temperment and health) - at least here in north america where breeding is highly unregulated and the backyard breeding industry has been very detrimental to the health of the purebreds.

It is a German Shepherd, but it is hard to tell whether or not it is mixed without having documentation. I have seen some GSDs that are AKC registered that look like mixes, and I have seen mixed GSDs that look like purebreds. Your best bet would be asking your veterinarian and asking the owner if they could find out what it is mixed with.

It's basically a German Shepherd Dog. However, I don't feel it's purebred. The other possibility is that it is a "purebred" but of REAL poor quality. Unfortunately, not an uncommon scenario. Without a certificate of pedigree (generations of registered descendants) one cannot be sure what this dog is.
