u did nothing wrong when u file on line u can either "sign" by knowing your agi(adjusted gross income) from the previous years return or u can mail in an 8453 ol it is just to verify u r u...many do not know after 12 months what they filed the year before or where to find there copies...so there is the option fo the 8453 just make sure u mail it so there is no problem with your filing on line next year ...and your refund will be coming just as before with in the same time frame...i am an accountant and forgot to send mine in one year....i had not filed the year b4....i still got my refund and sometime the next year a please send in your form letter from the IRS...so this will not delay your return

This form is usually for the first year you e-file your return if you do not make your Adjusted Gross Income amount from the previous year. When you e-file your return, the program should ask you if you have your previous year AGI and if you don't they will require you to send in this form. I had a family member send this in a couple years ago, and it took a little over 10 days for the refund. The IRS must be busy on phone calls, but you might want to call them and retrieve your previous AGI to avoid seding this form in

If you don't know your AGI from last year (or choose not to use a self-selected PIN) you must file Form 8453-OL and attach any required documents (W2s) to it.

bypass ahead and deliver it in, yet don't be apprehensive.......I forgot to deliver mine in when I filed in 2004 and change into no longer penalised for it. the 8453 is largely only a form that asserts you compromise to the tax varieties filed. do not difficulty in any respect
