Adam already had information, he ate from the fruit of information of sturdy and evil. They were already thoroughly sturdy. This develop right into a attempt which in the experience that they'd exceeded may recommend we would have lengthy gone to heaven then and there. additionally they had already been created to rule over the animals and have a tendency the backyard and with the "breath of God" in them that is a rational and eternal soul so that they did not pick to be extra smart... The serpent lied and pronounced they could be "like God". note how there develop into already a "tree of existence" which had no longer been forbidden in the previous. They lost supernatural existence, which they'd in the previous they disobeyed God.=/

This question has been abundantly answered. He told Adam and Eve to populate the earth but not touch the tree, however he allowed them the Choice or Free will to do so. He could have easily removed the tree, and thus removed the temptation and choice to do so. Satan doesn't want us to make choices, he wants to force us to do things which is why his plan for the salvation of man wasn't accepted in the council of heaven. What makes us more like God is the ability to know the difference between right and wrong and having the ability to choose which to follow.

First off, Eve had not even been created when God told Adam that if he ate of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil you are surely doomed to die--more a warning of danger than command.. Therefore, even though I am what many term a Pagan, I seem to know more of the writings of the Torah than many who profess that tome's infallibility. Free will gives us the freedom and will to ignore dangers and warning. If that were not true we could not join in wars as easily as we do.

God told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of a given tree. Adam and Eve both knew what God had told them. God gave them a "don't" but they "did" anyway. Even after Eve ate the fruit doesn't mean that Adam had to. He knew the rules too. God gave them free will to honor or disregard what He told them. God didn't FORCE them to take action one way or the other. He left that up to them (free will.) The rules were laid down, now it was up to them to follow, or not follow, the rule. As you know, they didn't follow the rule. And sorry to say, neither do we.

Adam used his free will when the fruit was offered to him. He chose not to reprimand Eve, but eat of the fruit as well. He sinned against God, just like Eve sinned against Adam.

It was God who told Adam not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.... God didn't tell Eve, that was Adam's responsibility to tell her. Which she knew not to eat from, but her free will caused her to disobey her husband.

God was telling Adam what he wanted from him. Adam still had the choice to listen or disobey.

I think this story is blown way out of proportion. It makes a lot more sense for God to have said to Humanity "Here's a lovely planet for you - what do you want to do with it? Shall it be a place of idle pleasure or a place of learning and education?" By choosing the apple we chose a place of learning and I think God was very proud of us. It is Humanity who felt cursed when they suffered hardship in their educational pursuits and learned that there might have been an alternative and so the story was created.

Let's use the brains, discerning and creativity that God gave us to look at our world and ourselves in the best possible light, eh people?

Peace!

You may tell your children, do NOT have friends over when we go out tonight. When you come back there is a party, and the furniture is turned over, the pool is full of teenagers and there are empty beer bottles all over your house....what did those kids do? They disobeyed, didn't they? You command didn't hold up.

Adam was free to disobey. Having a law does not make the will any less free, just responsible.
