FIRST: The definition-- Wikipedia says "secular" is the state of being separate from organized religion. For instance, walking and bathing may be regarded as examples of secular activities, because there is nothing inherently religious about them. (Note, however, that both eating and bathing are regarded as sacraments by some religious organizations, and therefore would be religious activities in their worldview.) Saying a prayer, worshiping, and attending Sunday School are examples of religious (non-secular) activities. One approximate synonym for secular is worldly; another could be phrased as neutral in religious matters. Approximate antonyms for secular are religious and devout. Despite occasional confusion, secularity is not synonymous with atheism. SECOND: Apply the definition to music. Not so easy? Well, that is one of the trials of being a parent. One answer tells you to avoid "bad" music. But that does not mean all "secular" music is bad. Frank Sinatra's version of "New York, New York" is secular. Nor does it involve sex, drugs, etc. It just does not try to glorify God or Scripture. Non-secular music usually tries to glorify God or Scripture.

The term secular basically means not living the way you should be not following "your particular God". Not living right.

Worldview. Man's point of view. Anything that does not have to do with God's law (the bible). Although this term is also used for the middle east, rule without Islam as head of the government.
