Definitely. There are so many factors that can contribute to your academic performance. Noise, distractions, etc. can affect you in studying. Light, review materials, and others should be conducive to learning. However, there are some cases that students choose to have a bit of distractions. For instance, a student might want to listen to music while studying. Others might want to watch TV while doing this. It's actually a case-to-case basis. I sometimes see this as a psychological matter. Here are some tips that our professor in biology told us:
1. Review in a quiet environment. When you study in a noisy place, chances are, you won't be able to remember the answers and concepts easily coz your brain is used to remembering it in a noisy environment. You might need the same noise in doing so.
2. Study for a maximum of two hours. It's better to study for a short time now then continuing it later rather than studying for straight long hours. The former is more effective. For example, study for two hours now. Rest, then after an hour or so, study again.

I don't know about multiple moves, but I moved with my family to a different state in a different part of the country the summer before my senior year in high school. At the time, it was very difficult for me because I had previously gone to the same very small school and had the same friends since the 3rd grade. The school I moved from had about 400 people total, where as my graduating class in the school I moved to was 842 students, and I didn't know a soul. Talk about a culture shock! So I was pretty lonely for most of my senior year, although I did make some friends eventually. However, the next year when I went away to college, I actually had an advantage over a lot of the other freshmen in that I had already gone through the experience of leaving all of my friends and having to make new ones as well as adjusting to a different way of life and a new place. I think that it was a lot easier for me to adjust than it was for some of my other classmates who had spent most of their lives in the same schools, so in that way it was a good experience for me.

Of course it does. How do you expect a student to perform great if they are sitting in a dimly lit room where they can't hardly see what the professor is writing on the whiteboard, in room located next to an extremely busy train station or to have only a chair (to sit on) making it difficult to take notes or even open a book.

Of courses. NOT. (This is true) If raining most people find themself easy to fall asleep because the weather condition is cool and cold at the same time. And if the weather is WARM not hot people find themself easy to fall asleep or get tired easily.Maybe this have a bit of affect.BUTT, this depends on the student themself .

the student has to have an advantageous atmosphere to learn, not one which is disadvantageous to learning. if the student feels the need to participate, rather than being forced to and possibly be humiliated as a result, the student is apt to learn that much more.
