Ugh, I hate that problem. I use Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner for frizzy and dry hair - that does wonders right from the start. Also, I comb through my hair when wet - just to get it straighter, without so many knots. Try using it on cool, instead of heat. It'll take longer, but it does less damage to your hair, which is partly why it's dry. Use it for a little, then turn it off, comb (NOT brush!) your hair through, and repeat until dry - using a cool setting, or a low heat instead of full blast. That'll keep it under control.
You can also look into spray-in conditioners and moisturizers they have for your hair after the show, and things to use for blowdrying. I hate gels, but spray-on conditioners are really nice.
That's all I can think of right now....hope it works! Hair can be a pain, I know.

You should try using Biosilk products, like the silk therapy shampoo, conditioner and the serum. After you're done using the shampoo and conditioner, wait a lil bit till your hair gets damp and put the serum in your hair and blow dry straight.Biosilk is absolutely great, and the serum is very healthy for your hair and doesn't weight it down, and wont make it all frizzy. You can find Biosilk at hair salons or beauty supply stores but they usually just have the serum bottle and its about $25 just for the bottle, i think your best bet is to go to Jcpenny, they have a hair salon there and they sell it in a pack with the shampoo, conditioner and the serum for about $35. Its a great deal. I hope this helped.

first of all in response to the first answer pantene has a wax in it so of course its going to weigh it down.....but who really wants a waxy layer on thier hair.
Try using a round brush and move your blowdryer with the brush. then after you get it dry put a smoothing serum or hair oil on it, may i suggest chi biosilk, redken glass or smooth down, and paul mitchells smoothing serum. gl, hope this helps. Of course if you invest in a good quality flat iron, you wouldn't have to spend as much time on it.
