I use Tax Act to file my own and family and friends

It depends, If you e-file with direct deposit, you will get it much faster

You can verify your refund status on https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp

Or you can estimate your date with the following table (a pdf file)
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf

For example, if you e-file, direct deposit today, you should receive your refund around Feb 16

The normal processing time frame for an efiled return and direct deposit is 7 to 10 days as long as there are no issues or errors on the return,
to check the status of your refund you can use the Where's my Refund at the IRS website http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96596,00.html
or call 1-800-829-1954

Both and state and federal have a schedule of deposits depending on your acceptance date.

This is the IRS refund cycle:

I did mine on Jan 26th, so I am looking at around February 9th for the BANK to get the money, and a few days after that for the bank to put it into my account.

if the IRS accepts the return by midrite Wednesday it should be in the bank by a week from that friday...exp...if it is accepted by this wed..02/07/07 then it should be direct dep by 02/16/07 that is the disbursement schedule for this year mailed checks take normally one week longer...and i use tax act for doing my freebies so i am pretty comfortable with their service
