NO! God made us and gave us the choice to love & obey Him or not. (He never said that there wouldn't be consequences for not following His rules!) Then to give us an out for our stupid mistakes He Sacrificed his Son so that we might get a second chance to love & obey God. And God never said what you above say he did. What was written in John 3:16 was: 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Paraphrased: God loves the world even though we choose to do wrong, so He sacrificed His pure perfect Son so that we could have a second chance at eternal life!!!

Why would I waste my time answering an ex Christian. Have you honestly made a choice?
You know so well that you did not even quote scripture. But the point is you bought up 'a view' so I will respond.
Are you trying here to justify to yourself that you are not responsible to your maker? If that be the case then why waste your time, he already read your heart. Now if you want to make it right with him begin to think seriously about what you are saying and make a choice to come to know him. He forgives in a large way Isaiah 55:7

I think people should be required to learn Hebrew, and Greek before they can decide to use bible verses as a reference.
They would come to find that things that may mean one thing in English, mean something else in Greek/Hebrew
Like μονογενήÏ(only;species, race, family, offspring, kind, as in only begotten son)
Could mean having only one father, uniqueness, having the genus of the parent, etc.
If you've turned from Christ because of modern Christianity I can understand, but through some research and meditation, you can come to find peace and understanding where there is a lot of misinterpretation.
