I am trying to make a small picture for avatar,buk it cannot be bigger than 9 Kb and it has to be let's say 150x150.
can anyone tell me which program should i download and the way to do it?

If you have a scanned pic and want to make the pic smaller change the resoultion of the pic to 75 Dpi.
Save the pic in Jpeg format and you should be able to get a pic less than 9 KB in Size

I recommend IrfanView, I've been using it for a while, you can add a few effects to pictures, enhance or completely change colors, and it's the best at image resizing I've seen so far for a free program.. to use the resizing feature you simply press "ctrl" and "r" or go under "image" and then to "resize/resample"

If you're on a mac download the Image Shackle widget. I would highly reccomend it.

microsoft word shrinks and edits pics. or microsoft paint does it too you would change size by shrinking it in the window then saving it, then the dimensions would be smaller automatically.

Infranview....free and simple to use...all u need to do is select resize and pic whatever you want
