If you need to lose weight, make sure that your Calories consumed is less than Calories burned. In other words, burn more Calories than you consume.

It's not just the fat, it's the carbohydrates you need to watch. Sugar is fat free, after all. Losing weight is not about eliminating any one thing, it's finding the proper balance. It's the overall calorie count that your body deals with, not so much where the calories came from. Lots of fat isn't good for you, but don't make the mistake of equating low fat with low calorie. A little fat makes things taste good, and can make something more satisfying to eat than a no fat counterpart- so in the end you eat less. Watch the calories, not just the fat.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Oh, yes. Using that principle will certainly lose you weight. Nothing is as slimming as malnutrition!
It's not that difficult: The amount of fat on you is a function of how much fat and carbohydrate you take in minus the exercise you do. If you change from eating fatty foot to eating less fatty food and maintain the same pattern of movement, you will lose weight - I know someone who lost 10kg simply from stopping eating crisps.
If you don't do any exercise, it might just take you from obese to plain fat, but most likely your body will start telling you to eat more as it wants the already living fat cells filled up. What you are proposing is not as easy as it sounds.
And finally the carbohydrate is as important part of the equation as the fat.
Oh, and lay off the beer as well.

Not necessarily. It's about getting good nutrition so you can burn body fat and have energy whilst losing weight.
I lost a stone and a half in 6 weeks. I had loads of energy, didn't feel hungry and have kept the weight off for 6 years now!!

Your body needs a certain amount of fat to work properly anyway, so you just need to choose meats like chicken and turkey. Any fish is good for you even the oily ones like salmon and mackerel. More than likely, but, you have to watch your calorie intake as well. Things that are low in fat, may be high in calories ... such as some sweets. Read all nutrition information on the products you purchase, because anything with significant sugar amounts will metabolize into fat, if your body doesn't need them.

Yes, if the quantity of the food doesn't increase and if you can stay on the low fat diet for long enough time, you will lose weight.But to get muscle tone you will also need to exercise.
