I just received my form 1099 Misc. from my employer. On box 7, "nonemployee compensation" it shows a greater amount from what I really earned. My employer says that the company already filled their taxes and that there is nothing that he can do. What must I do or what should they do to correct my form 1099 Misc? I would appreciated if anyone can provide a link to where I can find this information.

lasy companies. They can correct their 1099's, it happens! That is why companies can re-submitt correct 1099s. How much of a difference is it? Even if they filed their tax return, it is not much correcting it. Do you have your own breakdown or taxable and non-taxable payments you received from your employer?
