I claimed myself as a dependent when I am a dependent myself. Will the IRS take forever to process my 1040X?

My mother's rapid tax refund got held up because I claimed myself as a dependent when I can be claimed by her. I mailed off my 1040X amendment form today. Will the IRS take forever to process this? Will she be abl to get her return anytime soon?

Your mother needs to mail her return and elect for her refund to be direct deposited. The amended return can take 8 to 12 weeks to process.

It will probably be held up three weeks or more.
