Monistat has a product called "Soothing Care." One is an anti-itch cream and the other is for chaffing. I am sure that one or the other will certainly help you. Good luck.

First, eliminate the soaps, bubbles, potions and lotions. Switch to cotton undies and go without undies at night to get some air circulation going on. Dump the pantyhose. And give the close shaving a break. The irritation may be from soap, shave cream, laundry detergeant, or any number of things. If that doesn't get you some relief, then you may have an infection and will need to visit the Gyn doc. There are products near the feminine supplies that can help dull the itch, though none of the brand names come to mind- just go look. They say they are for feminine itching. Perhaps the reason for the original irritation is not with you any longer, but you are continuing to itch due to the continued scratching. Basically, get air in down there, lay off the soaps and whatnot, and use the cream. If that doesn't help, you need more involved help.

Please remember, the advice I'm going to give you is not coming from a doctor so be sure to go to the gyno to get checked out! However, the hairs in that area are curly and, if you're like my and have curly hair on your head then you definitely have curly hair down there! It is very likely that as the hair grows back it recoils into your skin causing itchiness. Unfortunately, if you scratch, you can get an infection so. . .DO NOT SCRATCH! Instead, do what I do when I shave, add a dime size or smaller amount of hydrocortisone cream (store brand is fine) to your regular lotion and massage the affected area. You could also try a product from Monistat that helps reduce chaffing and has dimethicone. The hydrocortisone is anti-itch while the dimethicone is more anti-inflammitory. Whatever you do, DO NOT mix the two! Bad idea! Good luck and see a doc just to be sure!

I had a similar problem. I thought it was a yeast infection, and so did my doctor. I'd use monostat and it would get better, but, as soon as I stopped using the creme ... it came back, with a vengeance.

After a few months of this, I finally figured out that I had developed an allergy to bar and liquid soap. I went out and bought an oatmeal soap called "Aveeno". My symptoms cleared up within a couple of days. It's rather costly, compared to other bar soaps .. but, oh sooooo worth it. Maybe give it a try? :)

It could be from shaving. I personally go nuts if I don't shave my legs and the hair starts to come in -- soooo itchy. But, just to be safe, you should see your doctor. It could be an infection. And its not necessarily something sexually related just because its down there. My sister got a completely random skin infection on the back of her hand, and she's practically obsessive compulsive with hand washing, so it could happen to anyone and anywhere on their body.

THEY have over the counter itching cream at the pharmacy.
Maybe it could be from usinga new soap, detergent, scented pantiliners\pads. But it's always a good idea to call your OB\GYN to make sure everything is alright.

Sounds like a bad yeast infection. I would try the Monistat cream until you can get in to see your gynecologist. Don't delay, though. Go as soon as possible. Good luck.

put tabasco sauce on it. It will hurt for the first three days, but it will soothe the rash .It will react to whatever skin desease you might have, but it will be cured with what ever chemical is in the tabasco. Trust me, i've tryed it. It's an old cajun ritual that was handed down to me through several generations.

I get like this sometimes in hot weather. Have you tried a thrush cream like Canasten?
