Due to the complicity of our lives, is it more difficult to believe in God?
I think it is.
Do our generations have to try harder to believe? I mean put forth more effort.

I ask because I struggle to believe myself, and I wonder is there anyone else that is like me? My whole family is christian and believes in God but when I really think about it, I dont Believe, and I am not going to say I do when deep down I have no faith.

I just say I am happy with my life, and I believe when you die it is the end of it, and im not scared!

What do you think?

No i don't think it's harder. Since there is forgiveness. B/c i no being a Christian just isn't easy. Some times it is harder 2 believe, but then i see and hear how God has made an impact on ppl's lives. When i do i realize that there has 2 be a God somewhere. If yoUr happy w/ ur life it's fine.......But will it be worth it in the end taking the easy way out? I think more ppl are trying 2 push away. You have 2 look at both sides, w/ the evolutionary theory do you realize that until they find the missing link .(the one that links us 2 monkeys) That all they have is an assumption? But w/ Christianity all it is , is a faith in things not seen.

You said the key word is your are not "scared"
my whole family is Christian, (my step mother is a Pastor). I am an Agnostic. The truth is it is not the complicity of our lives, it's the fact that now we have truth, science to explain all the things that originally were attributed to "Gods" because of man kinds ignorance. We don't have to be ignorant anymore, anyone can pick up a history book or click on a web page and see how religions developed form mixing different myths from throughout history. But what binds Christians now is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of dying, thinking that if they pray hard enough a father figure in the sky is going to take care of them...and it's just not true...it would be nice if it was true, but it's not, it's a good story to keep ppl in line, but once you break out of Christianity's brainwashing you'll see that this world is not the horrible sinful Godless planet of which they want nothing of (deny the flesh)...
Good for you man, live life with no fear, ups and downs have nothing to do with a God...it's just life...live it.

Kill your GOD
-Amen

there are so many different religions out there but GOD put us here(in this generation) for a reason, spmetimes it is hard to believe but, psalms 14:1 says, " the fool hath said in his heart there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. If there is one thing i know its that, there is a God, and we(as in our generation)must believe just like they a long time ago. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is deat, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You say your happy with your life, The Bible also says there is pleasure in sin for a season, not a literal season, noone knows how long Gods seasons are. So I would be scared if i were u. The prophies have been fulfilled, no man knows the day or hour of his return, he coulld come any minute. Please i beg you pray, receive Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour before its TOO LATE! oh and Revelation 20:14 says, 'And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire, This is the second death, (the first death is physical death, the second is spiritual, which will last for eternity.)

I'm was once a Southern Baptist, now I'm a Buddhist. I sat down one day an analyzed my beliefs. I've read the bible cover to cover 3 times. I can honestly say that I find it lacking of facts. I'm not saying I don't believe in a god, but in my mind if one is possible then so are more. I find it hard to serve a god that leaves his children no choice. Have faith in me or burn in hell. It is a threat, only dictators make threats and ultimatums. I think you are correct. Like I said heaven is a state of mind not a tangible place. Good luck I hope you live a long, peaceful, prosperous life.

no it is not, because god is not a superstition when our brains become more advanced find it is hard to believe,it is the reality, why when you die it is the end of it,then why you came in the first place
this life we are living is just a very brief life which determines where you will live in the true life.

try reading the Quran it is not like the bible,it is gods words, and i think will solve all of your problems

peace

I think its alot harder to believe now than it was generations past. Simply for the advancements of science. Religion was used, in part, to explain the un-explainable. Why are humans here? Because God put is here. Why is the earth here? Because God made it.

I think the more we know, and the more science begins to dis-prove religious teachings (adam and eve, earth is center of the universe, god created everything...) it will be harder and harder to believe.

I do not think so at all. We know so much more about life now, we understand so much more about our existence than we did before, and I think this should reinforce our ability to believe in a Divine existence.

Personally I believe in god, I can not imagine such a reality of intricate complexity could be created by mere accident. Everything is far to perfect to have been an accident, especially when even natures imperfections are beautiful.

But many people live by the saying "To See is To Believe" and what they can not see, they do not believe.

When I think about life, and existence in general, I can not fathom anything other than a divine creator. Science is my strongest point of study and yet I can not comprehend a lack of divinity in the creation of everything.

In the first century, God was a saint. But by 21st century standards, He's just cruel tormenting His own creation. There's no logic c'mon. Christians are making excuses for God because without Him they feel alone.

Yes i do think it is harder. Plus alot of christians aren't what they shoould be. everything in our society is not what it used to be and not what its meant to be. I think it is really sad that you don't believe in God. God died for you and he really loves you. and I've seen time and time again where he has protected me when i knew i was going to die. I mean there is so much evidence that he exists. He alwayz been there for me as a friend. I wish you could see and feel what it is like to have him by your side. I hope you find your answer.
