The funny thing is, if you tell the truth, people will think you are lying.

Sometimes people want to reinvent themselves online coz they think people wouldnt b interested in the real them. Its escapism coz u can b any1 u want 2 b behind the computer.Theres no harm in it as long as u dont hurt any1,it can b just a bit of fun since most of the time people dont meet.Thats when it would b wrong,if it affected sum1 else, hurting there feelings but if your just roleplaying with urself & no1 gets hurt then whos to know.Thats the thing,a person has 2 think- will the person im pretending 2 find out & will it hurt any1?If the answers no theres no harm,if yes then u shouldnt do it but otherwise it can make their life more interesting which is probably why people do it ,in answer to ur question-2 make themselves more interesting or becoz theyre bored with their real life.

Some people would embellish the truth about their personality. If their person's is not to their liking. That is why every one should love their self first so they can be proud of them self to express to society. There are some privacy of your person that you should not expose to on line or others. Some dating online adviced that to clients. If you want to be ahead of the game do not trust him/her them and you.Living and interacting with others is a mind game. There are only two kind of person living in this world >> A victimiser and victims. So we should always be aware, "what the deal is ".

Been there, I've never done that, I be live in being up front with people on line and in person, getting hurt never feels good for anyone.

Why lie and the truth will do!

No I haven't, but people who do are insecure about themselves. I wish they would be there real selfs, even if they do have a boring life, I'd rather get to know a real person than a lie.

if that is so messed up why not use your real name too, instead of sexy cupcake? I tis a safe issue. people feel safer giving a false name, & place of residence, then giving all the accurate stuff.

Gulity! I used to. That was before I really knew who I was and how proud I am to be me. Now I don't, I know better and I don't need to lie about myself, I think I'm pretty terrific.

no.
i dont talk with unknown people in the internet.

why do people do that?
simple, just trying to impress others by making themselves look good, because they know the person can't see them.

and you just lied to us, you're not a sexy cup, you're an ugly beast.

Nope, I haven't. But if you have to lie about who you are, you're probably not too happy/content with yourself that you have to resort to lying about your identity.
