Its kind of hard to know exactly what youre talking about. Cite some examples if you would.

The ripper is - I myself believe in general as to what you're saying - and I see misinterpretation all the time - BUT - those very people, say the same of me, and of you and anyone else that varies from their beliefs.

Quite a little quandry, eh?

You say "misinterpret" as though there were some absolute correct interpretation available. There is not. Everyone who reads the Bible, or the Koran, or the Bhagavad Gita, has no choice but to find meaning as best they can.

most people dont misinterpret the Bible. most the time they just dont read everything. there is a differance. i know a lot of people that just take half a verse or scripture and go with that but dont read the whole scripture. there are a couple out there that kinda misinterpret but then again who is to say that. i mean in that sensce now you have those that believe Jesus is God and those that believe the trinity. or those that baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and then those who baptize in Jesus name. or those who believe in the Spirit as when you ask God into your life. but then those who believe it is a different experiance like the Bible shows us it is. if you dont agree with that then read acts. for first they all believed in Jesus and were baptized in Jesus name and still were not filled. however you can say that is because it was not yet given. ok then later on in acts they were baptized under Johns baptism and believed in Jesus and still were not filled with the Holy Ghost. not tell they were baptized. same goes that some were filled with the Holy Ghost and still were told to be baptized in Jesus name.

but anyways most people i know besides the things i listed dont misinterpret the Bible. they just also rather make the Bible fit there needs and not make there needs fit the Bible. if the Bible says to not watch tv (it does not say that per say just saying it for example) then those who like to watch tv would skip that part. they dont misinterpret it they know it is there they just pretend to not read it.

and i say the Bible does not say tv per say because they Bible does say we are in this world but we are to not be of the world. we are to be different and not do worldy things. and for myself i know there are so many shows on tv i should not be watching so i got rid of it because having the tv was tempted to watch those shows.

How can the "truth" be interpreted so many different ways anyway? Truth should be truth, especially if it's the "true" word of god, right?

Of course, the fact is it's not absolute truth because god does not exist. That's why everyone can make up their own interpretations.
