not just raised that way . born that way. when a baby cries he's manipulating you to feed him, burp him and/or otherwise take care of him. wailing at the top of his lunges is the baby's survival mechanism. as we grow our manipulation techniques become more refined and sophisticated but the motivation to manipulate remains pretty much the same. "do what I need/want you to do for me"

Children are naturally selfish. And manipulation is a learned behavior. If is works a child will do it again. So those parents that allow themselves to be manipulated by their children will raise children that become very good at it.
If a child is encourage to be open about what he wants and is shown respect, he will not need to learn to manipulate to be successful.

You have just discovered what it means to be "Born Again".

When your personality (your spirit) changes from being manipulative, and selfish, and feeling you have the right to hate someone --- when you change or are re-born to become a harmony-loving and loving individual, you, according to Jesus, will become that which will go to Heaven.
