This argument seems to come up a lot with Christians. "Don't tax yourself. God works in mysterious ways".

God, is, by strict definition, IS an Alien.
He is not of this Earth. That makes him an Alien by any definition.
The more important thing, is WHAT would ATHEISTS think if these people had movies of Adam and Eve in Eden. Movies of Moses getting the 10 commandments.
Remember we firmly beleive God is well above us in intellegence and expertise.
It don't matter if Heaven happens to be Betelguse
I'll admit some Christians, especially fundamentalists will be as miffed and resistant as some Atheists.
That's the thing. Atheists don't want to admit there is SOMETHING GREATER OUT THERE. We are IT as far as their are concerned. There is no Sky Daddy, which means NO aliens.
The only thing Atheists laugh at harder than Christians is Fundies, and the only other thing that makes them ROLL on the floor are the "lone gunmen" the Alien hunters. The guys who claim they were taken up in ships and had sex things done to them by alien women. They get a hugh laugh out of those guys!
The ony thing funnier than the Bible is the concept of Area 51 and that the US has a ship in their possession and keeps it from us. That's even more fictional to them!
Which means WE are the greatest life form in the Universe. We are the center of the universe.
Someone who comes flying in at the speed of light and beams down and can restore life to people, cure cancer, solve heart problems with a beam of light or touch of the hand. That would DEFINATELY bug Atheists.
Atheists are resistant to the concept that SOMETHING OUT THERE might make them look as intellegent as an Amoeba or, God forbid, a Monkey.

That would be interesting. I don't doubt the possibility. However, who created the aliens that created us, if that were the case? If it's other aliens, who the f*** created them? I don't believe that God just "designed" us. I believe he made the universe to be one that evolves and creates life on it's own. Any form of that life that creates other life is still part of God's creation.

I can see it being reconciled this way: these aliens are the "angels" that answer to God and were thus given charge over creating the earth and humans and so on. Or alternatively, that God is the god of all creations and so he made the aliens who then made us, but he was good enough to let us know that we should worship Him.

No matter how you break it down...you still have to have God...he then created the singularity that created the Universe that created the components of life that created the aliens that created us. Simple enough in my book...right?

You're question makes no sense. It presupposes a set of circumstances and a given reaction from a poorly defined group of people.
What you've done here is virtually identical to the sociological and psychological patterns that define racism.

If you knew what aliens were really like and their agenda I doubt if you'd want to believe you came from them. They will manifest to aid the anti-Christ with signs and wonders. Hollywood producers are even prompted tomake 'ET' type movies to become familiar with 'them', you know.

What is your definition of "very religious people"? Is that like being classified a woman? Or a man?

They would still deny it, and say it is in God's plan or some crap.
By the way, are you a Scientologist? And if so, do you know Tom Cruise?
