Have you actually read the bible???

I must be honest. I can not understand how anyone can actually read the bible and think for one second that this God is either loving or good!

Just actually read the types of things this God does and it becomes clear very fast that we are nothing but slavers for his amusement! Where do I get the slaves idea? 1 Corinthians 6:20 YE ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE!!! ONLY A SLAVE CAN BE BOUGHT!!!

This Loving God also creatted everyone knowing full well who would go to heaven and who would go to hell! (ROMANS 9:21 - 23) (Ephesians 1:4 - 5) (Revelation 13:8 & 17:8)

This God is PURE EVIL!!!

Oh Yes and the best news of all
THERE IS NOOOOOOOO GOD!!
THAT IS GOOD NEWS!!

I believe in God because of the overwhelming evidence he exists: in the beauty and order of nature and the universe, man's superior intelligence, etc. But more than anything else because of Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Holy Trinity, who became man. What human can:
Silence a typhoon?
Walk on water?
Multiply a few loaves of bread and fish in order to feed a multitude of 5,000?
Bring back dead people back to life?
Give sight to people born blind?
Change water into wine?
Rise from the dead?
As the apostle John puts it, these miracles prove Jesus' claim that he is God. These miracles demonstrate that Jesus had the power over life and death and the forces of nature. Only a God has those powers.
And if these miracles were just made up, Christianity would have died a natural death. But there were so many people who witnessed these miracles that's why Christianity grew by leaps and bound in the first century. For example, the resurrection of Jesus cannot be silenced because more than 500 people saw his resurrected body.
Have a blessed and peaceful day

I no longer have just "belief" in God. I know that God is real and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know only because God revealed it to me.

If you believe in God and that He has all power and that He knows everything and that He loves us....following this line of thinking...can you believe that God can communicate with you?(with each of us) and make known some simple facts about what we need to know...well anyway...believe it or not God can talk with us and He can reveal things to us! BUT He also gives people the CHOICE ...if they want to know or not....(ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find...)....(If any of you lack wisdom, let them ask of God...who giveth liberally...)those are PROMISES from God (and God always keeps His word)...or if you so choose...don't ask.

Dr. Ellie Arroway said "You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe." So that is the best reply to your question why people believe in a god.

Now why people don't believe in a god. Well it's not just about plain non-belief, it's the logical impossibility to believe it exist.

I believe in an Omnipotent, uncaused causer, the uncreated creator, the beginning and the end; the one and only. Neither a thing nor no-thing. That is the God I believe in. Besides, science is flawed at some point so I'd put my trust in God. Believing otherwise is arrogant, ignorant and vain. Peace.

I believe in God. Because it's the easiest 2 believe. What some ppl fail 2 remember is that there is a missing link 2 the evolutionary theory. ( The one that links us 2 monkeys) They have not found it, without that they've got nothing. Christianity is just a test in faith. A faith in things not seen. ppl think just cuz they can't see it, or isn't scientifically proven that it can't exist. When the end times come......We will all know fact from fiction.

The stereotype Christian God is a minor God among thousands of others. The one "true God" is in fact female. The Universe is the womb of all life. The Earth is your Mother.. Look after your Mother and forget the God thing , it's too much like big business these days..

I believe in Gods, because One God is much too impersonal for me. I think the universe is THE God, but there are many smaller Gods that can care about us or effect us.

Why? I just do. It makes more sense to me than Yahweh and more sense to me than Nothing at All.

I believe in god because no body is my best friend. Somewhere sometime I feel that he is always with me and watching me and helping me a lot.

I do not believe in god because at that time I am so happy and want to forget about everybody.

I believe in God because there is a real reason why we're here on earth...

For instance, a scissor. A scissor is made because it is made for a reason: to cut. We are here for a reason.. and that's why I believe that there is a Being out there who made us all..

We are all temporary. So there must be something permanent out of all this, and that is God.
