this is sad but, the truth!!! because of her im breaking up with mommies boy and leaving. bought a house noone knows. i take possession march 1st. she steals from me so he put a lock on the door. she is so mad she cant take it. she said i turned her son against her? shes gonna see when shes sitting with him lonely. she irritates me so much i refuse to deal with her and she goes on and on. she is a control freak. fighting with me as i type. hard to avoid as she follows me around. how would you handle it????i have tried my best to be nice as im a nurse. i can not deal with this anymore nor do i want too!!!!!!! he is never gonna do anything as ive asked him and its a no win situation. so im going and forgetting about love before i have a heartattack.

thank you all for your well thought out answers!! he dont have to choose me over his mom as i never asked him to.she said her son replaced her husband??? they play a game i cant win nor want to i just want out even if i do love him. im so tired of all this im no longer gonna try. he wont leave his mom and i dont expect him to. when i had my own place he never once spent the nite as i feel im another ### this here is a pattern of woman living with him. he may love me? but, im always gonna be #2 i know this. i just wanted respect which i will never get ever. she can have her son. one day maybe he will wake up? it wont be with me as ive given up as you can tell. thank you again. all answers so far are very good.keep up the good advise!!!!

why worry about handling her, just don't make any relationship with her no matter what! keep this in mind, you don't owe her anything. Ignore her, no words, no eye-contact, no emotional reaction.

Some relationships bring along issues that cannot be solved. It sounds like you found one of those. I am really sorry that it has to work out like this for you, but the last thing you need is a momma's boy. That is the last thing anyone needs. I would have left too. I honestly wouldn't be living with them in the first place, but we all make mistakes...I have made more than my share. Good luck on your new home. :)

My mom is and always will be that way. But I put her in her place. How old is this lady? Sounds like she is a control freak. you have a house now if he is living with you boot him and his old bag out. Tell him that it is her or you after you pack your bags and have them by the door. tell him he is to old to let his mother run his life, and if he picks her tell him that she belongs in a nursing home. tell him that you are not going to put up with it. Don't let him get a word in edge wise. turn around when you are done and walk out the door. don't look back and make sure he see's tears.

As you had mention, she is an old lady. just ignore it, treat it as one ear in and one ear out when she open her mouth. she's feeling scare about loosing her son to you. let her know that she won't loose her son, instead she will gain another daughter who is as good as her own.
Leaving won't do any good. think for your husband. his own mother and his wife are fighting. who should his choose? if he choose you, he will be ungrateful to his mother who give birth and raise him up.
If he choose his mother, he will lose the love of his life..
think before you act...

Give him a choice Momma or me! if its you then tell him you need some space and if he does not get it then adios amigo! He will eventually figure out why his relationships are failing and have to distance himself from his mommy.
