No, don't get a female. Neither of them will be social. You need to work with the male more. Get his wings clipped, get him out of the cage more often, finger train him, carry him around on your shoulder, etc... Just get the wings clipped. Once he figures out he can't fly, he's at your mercy, and he'll see that, too. Training is much easier. Like training a dog, you've got to show him you're the boss. If he tries to bite you, you can't flinch or back away. It only hurts for a minute. Just show him you're the boss.

No. Please take some effort and try. Parakeets can be stubborn as i have recentaly bought one....but with a little effort and time...ok maybe not a little but still with effort and time your bird can be a really loving companion. Just clip and train....welll yea take your time don't rush it and be patient. Never force the bird to do anything becuase it will be stubborn(er). WEll yea start off by putting your hand in the cage slowly...let it know it wont hurt it and stuff....let it watch you change its food and water.....then like yea when it doesnt start flying in shock....start pressing your fingure against place above the feet but below the abdomen ro whatever you call it....it will loose balance and either jump on ur hand er fly around...take tim with this...once it gets use to it.....try to take it out..it might try to jump into the cage but jsutv practie and he'll get used to it the show it around the room then yea you get the idea...

Getting a female won't make him people friendly if that's what you're thinking. I wouldn't get a female unless you want kids. If you just want a companion for him get another male. If you want to tame him, you just need to keep working with him. Give him treats and show him you aren't afraid. Spend time talking to him. Persistence is key. Good luck!

yes. get a mean female and mate them. then you can have some attack parakeets.
