Well to be legally drunk it takes about 3 beers for a woman of average size, maybe 4 for a man of average size. 3 shots for a woman of average about the same for an average man. You also have to remember the more muscle you have the better your body processes alcohol. If you are a regular drinker your body can "dumb" down the effects of alcohol, but that doesn't mean that you are not drunk. And remember the first thing that drinking effects is the last thing that you learned, that's why you can never remember anything in the morning and younger drinkers should absolutely never drive. Your body can process the equivalent of one drink per hour and caffeine heightens the effects of alcohol, so if someone needs to "sober up" give them water, or food. Also if you are going to drink make sure you eat something other wise the effects are going to be stronger. Mainly just remember 3 units of alcohol for women and 4 for men whatever you are drinking, beer, wine, or liquor.

That's based on height/weight, also the body's current sugar levels and body's metabolism and other capacities...the bigger people don't get hit that easily with the stuff. some of the Mediocre size ones aren't really that much better, like Mel Gibson, for example...LOL...just kiddin', but I've known a lot of smaller than average and petit size people get the hit the hardest and it funny too!

Usually after about 8 drinks a male will feel a nice buzz and 12 will start to be drunk. As far as driving legally the rate is 1 per hour is ok...but you really should not drink at all and drive.

needles have units drunks have quart/pints/liters, units of alcohol are too minute to be use to achieve drunkenness in the same perspective as throwing down double shots, so as you've filled the double shot glasses with refills,x number of units many times there will be an answer

Man that all depends. i can drink a fifth of whiskey sometime and just the other night I only had about 5 shots and a beer and had one of the worst hangover ever. There are so many factors involved.

it definatly is a person to person thing, I can have about 4- drinks, i know people bigger than me that can have like 2 and people smaller than me who can drink like 16! It depends alot on your experience. for most people you start to feel it after 2-3 and really drunk by 4-8 i think

almost impossible to give you any accurate answer.
Depends on:
Gender (women get drunk faster).
Time of day (your metabolism varies).
Food eaten.
Fat stores in body (Fat people get drunk slower).
How tired you are.
Type of drink (drinks with bubbles are absorbed faster).
Temperature.
Race (Asian folks generally get drunk much faster).
Genetics.
How regularly you normally drink.
What medication you have taken.
What recreational drugs you have taken.
How rehydrated with water you are.
there is too many variables (even within the same individual).

If you rarely drink, you are small and/or have not eaten, you will start to feel pretty tipsy after only about an ounce. Two beers or drinks of 3oz total and you could be slurring your speech.
