Non Christians "believe what they're taught," moreso than Christians. The pagan believes the culture which teaches that it's alright to do all sorts of immoral things that God has told us are not good. If I, as a Christian, believe what God says, I have to act differently than the prevailing culture. For example, it is getting more popular to have homosexuals represented on television as just another mainstream lifestyle, when God says it is perverted and damnable. Likewise, non-Christians seem to generally prefer defending a woman's right to choose, over a child's right to live. Again, God tells us to defend the smallest among us, and the lifestyle that often gets women "unexpectedly" pregnant leads to their decision to put to death the result of their indiscretion. The thing with Christians is that they have found truth, but they aren't God, so they often haven't the facility to express God's mind on every issue that might come up in a social situation. That's awkward for them, but isn't it interesting how the non-Christian always gets the right-away? The non-Christian doesn't stand up for God; he only takes pot shots, and continues to live like an animal according to his own fallible understanding. Christians believe what they are taught, or at least, believe the Bible as it is best taught, because they believe God has spoken, and God appeared in the person of Jesus Christ, proving the words of Scripture to be in fact true. There may be Christians who lack social skills, but just turn on Jerry Springer and you'll see non-Christians representing low culture even more. Christians aren't generally known for sleeping with everyone in the neighborhood and then not knowing who the daddy is. Christians aren't going to be called to host Queer Eye, and Christians won't be solicited to join the Mob, and few if any Christians will appear in "Girls Gone Wild." That's the non-Christian arena. Christians are as diverse as the rest of the population. The difference is, Christians are in a positive relationship with God, whereas the rest of the population is condemned. That's not holier than thou, that's, we've been there, and now we are not condemned (thank Jesus). It's a good place to be, despite the social skills of some of our brethren. In eternity they will likely gain what they now lack. Non-Christians gain nothing but divine disapproval.

I'd say that it's the fault of the most extreme christians, and to a lesser extent, the rest of christianity for not controlling them. The only way I can see this changing is for the larger christian community to reign in the crackpots that give them a bad name.

An increased amount of practicing what is preached would also be useful, especially in the area of tolerance towards others.

read your bible
read "a case for christ"
if my "mental disorder" brings me eternal salvation, then no prob.
as for a lack of social skills, is that because they aren't drinking and partying it up with nonchristians? Because they have moral standards in a world where more and more "every thing goes?"
Always believe what they are taught - - hmmm I believe that the bible is the word of God. It can be interpreted in different ways and one should be careful who is doing the interpreting. As for believeing everything, how about the American liberal public who listen and follow thier liberal politicians and media to the nth degree. Those that believe the govt is designed as an entitlement program and global warming is our doom.

You're not talking about Christians, you're talking about Reactionaries.

PETA people are the same way. Watch them SPRAY paint you for eating a hamburger.

VEGANS will definately scare you. Wait until they TELL you about the HELL that steak is going to put you into!

MEat eaters stink you know. They can smell it 10 feet away. Just like someone can smell a cigagrette smoker 5 feet away.

So, what do have to say when confronted by ATHEIST VEGAN MEMBERS OF PETA!

It's the crazies that stand out. I can tell you truthfully that most churches are filled with nice quiet everyday people who just want to live their lives and love their God. Most Christians don't want to harm anybody, most are very good people, good citizens. Most Christians aren't even noticed. You have no reason to be scared.

We do not have a lack in social skills w/ non-christians. We deal w/ them every day. Maybe some of us do, but not all. We believe what we do b/c it's a choice, no 1's making us.It's just faith in things not seen, is what you fail 2 understand. And Fyi you scare us 2.

oh, but in worldly terms, they are right.

we do have a mental disorder.
we no longer believe the lies of Satan which are so prevelent in the world today.
true Christians share the Word of God.
if you are a non-christian, God's Words SHOULD scare the pants off you!!!
we are not talking about a game of Monopoly here....
we are talking about where YOU will spend eternity.
do you have any concept of how long an eternity is?
if you want to be coddled and protected from the Truth, go see Satan.
He is very, very good at that.
get real man!
your eternity is at stake!

Nothing can be done to change it until such time as science develops a cure for minds infected by rogue memes. This is probably another reason why religious types try to suppress science.

The original Christians that came to America were a bunch of repressed, ignorant ppl whom no one wanted in there country so they came here and butchered all the inhabitants (in the name of God). So now we have this repressed society with ppl renting out Jesus Christ to win Presidential Elections. They are all sheep, who are full of fear and superstition. They are so afraid to live life they hide behind the Bible and convince themselves the world and everything in it is evil...They live lies to deal with the everyday...their religion is one of fear and repression...
-Kill your GOD-

Break free from the lie, life is hard but it's better to experience it with your eyes open.

I don't know anyone who has said that, but one thing is true: a scientific study showed that the religious share many of the same dissociative traits as did sociopaths ans schizoid people.
