If you have Word 2003 or newer, it's an option in the File menu. If not, you can download a free PDF maker from download.com. You can also use Google's Word Processor online--it allows you to import Word documents and make PDFs or whatever you want out of them.

Yes you need the FULL version of Adobe Acrobat, not just Acrobat Reader. There is something called "PDF complete" that also works.

If you have either of those, Word will sometimes display a "create PDF" button. If you have either of those you can also print to a PDF as both of these programs will create a print driver so that you can choose PDF when the print options come up.

It is simple if you have a full version of Adobe Acrobat. From Word, simply go to file > Print and set PDF Writer as your printer.

If you do not have Acrobat, go out to download.com and do a search for PDF Converter and I am sure something will show up.

It depends on which version of office you are using. MS Office 2007 has a full utility for converting and editing PDF files.

Download pdf995 and install it. It will create a printer to which you can print your document. It actually prints to a PDF file. It's the most easiest and cost effective way of creating PDF files from 'any' document. It's a free converter.

download open office 2.1 (www.openoffice.org) open your word file with Open Writer and from ther you can save it as a PDF file.

Adobe makes a distiller, and Nuance or Scansoft does too, I think.
