You can get artificial saliva at the pharmacy. They also make a spray, and the gel. Biotene makes a mouthwash and has chewing gum for dry mouth. Those can be found with the mouth
rinses in the drug store, or pharmacy. Talk with the pharmacist and see what they carry, or they can order it for you.
Good Luck

First let me say I am so sorry you are going thru this or whomever is. You can get pink spongey mouth swabs from home care companies or pharmacies or med suppliers. Keep a cup of room temp water at bedside or where you spend most time. Dip the swabs in plain water and moisten your mouth. There are lemon swabs that can be too acidy for your mouth when you are on chemo. or if you have a sore mouth. You can also rinse your mouth with warm water if it helps or cool water.
You do not have to swallow it if you are nauseated. There might be underlying things that can help. Buy a very soft toothbrush and use a toothpaste that is less acidic. Also avoiding spicey foods that can irritate the stomach and subsequently the mouth and GI tract. If te problem persists you may want to consult with your doctor again as it might be a secondary infection due to lowered immunity or dental carries. hope it gets better. Ronniea

DURING chemo treatments, suck on ice or popcicles.

Website below has excellent ideas.
SOme of them are the Biotene products mentioned above. You can get them online if you need to at Hocks.com.
THey also suggest humidifier in your room.

There is a company called Three Lollies that make special hard candies called "Queasy Pops" and "queasy drops" that are specially formulated for chemo nausea. They also help with dry mouth and are in flavors that people on Chemo enjoy. (nothing tastes good to you, does it?)

ANyway, check out the websites below. chemocare has great ways to manage all kinds of chemo side effects.

Chemoangels is a good support organization. If you want to sign up as a patient they will send you encouraging cards, notes, and gifts every week. Might be kind of helpful for you.

God bless you! Hang in there!

Dryness in youthful females human beings is often via an lack of ability to relax and 'enable bypass'. it is merely once you actually throw your self into sex that the vagina starts lubricating. this would also be via the previous infections alongside with thrush, chlamydia and bacterial vaginosis, the sensibe element throughout those circumstances should be to bypass to a rfile at a genitourinary drugs health middle. I’m afraid that there are not any pills or drugs which will make a lady lubricate extra. notwithstanding, there are countless astonishing sex lubricants available from sex shops – no longer merely classic ok-Y Jelly, yet also products like moist, Liquid Silk, Replens etc.

Certain spices/flavors naturally induce saliva. Things like peppermint, cinnamon, lemon, etc usually help a great deal. Also I believe Orajel makes something for dry mouth.

The best tip my husband ever got was to chew ice. The ice will also help prevent mouth sores, that some chemo drugs can cause.
