I dont think that it would but once you find out that it is lost or stolen, be sure to call the big three and ask them to put a fraud alert on your account.
Once you do this, if the thief tries to use your information to open up another card, he will be denied
This will keep them from doing something that WILL hurt your credit score.

How final a card impacts your score: a million. you are going to be final your oldest card. "length of credit historic previous" is 15% of your fico score 2. you would be lowering the final unused credit available on all enjoying cards mixed lenders choose to verify unused funds on enjoying cards - shows credit worthiness. So go away the account open until eventually it has an annual cost. A cost is in no way well worth it. you could decrease up the cardboard and merely not use it

it doesn’t have to be that way. Simply start paying down that big balance with disciplined payments, even if it takes a while. And getting a new credit card with a lower interest rate (and 0% APR is really helpful if you qualify), can give you quite a head start. Just be sure to use that interest free period to pay off the balance rather than adding to it.

No. It will not hurt your credit. The issuer will give you a new account number with the new card, which will be reflected on your credit report in lieu of the old card number. Nothing negative will come out of that.

It shouldn't. Look at it this way. Why would the card company reissue you a card if you just messed up your credit rating?

Yes...definitely it affects your score. Not by much. Still...the best thing to do is report it lost or stolen immediately. Then if someone unauthorized has it and is using it, you are protected. Your score will always be affected by a lot of things, so protect it.
