I have heard people carry it with them and drink it throughout the day. On the containers, they say to drink immediately. I don't know which one is true. I personally like the idea to be able to have a healthy "snack" throughout the day, and I don't want to feel too full and bloated like after drinking most shakes immediately.

your supposed to drink one gram of protein per pound of body weight. most people drink some before and after a workout or take it as a meal replacement.

after workout: whey protein powder in skim milk

before sleeping: milk protein powder in raw whole milk (raw whole milk contains CLA and omega3s, both helps losing fats and putting on muscle)

i drink one before and after. you can always go to a gnc and ask if you have and questions.
