Well, I'll be honest with you, and I'll say that I haven't been in a situation exactly like this. But there are alot of people who have, and you're not alone. Think about this: the girls picking on you are simply trying to get attention, most likely. Every girl wants some attention, but some do bad things to get it. Or perhaps they just are because other people are. You know you're the better person, because you're not doing this to them. Every time someone makes fun of you, pretend that you either didn't notice, or tell them that you don't really care. Ignoring is great too, because then they'll get bored and leave you alone. Another thing: if you like your best friend and you know she is really your friend, then don't let go of her/him, no matter what. Trust me at least on this one. And your best friend probably isn't helping because he/she is scared of the situation. Don't worry about it, and you can always ask your friend for help. If he/she's really your best friend, they'll try their best. But just don't let go, and ignore everyone trying to break you two up, because it's not like it's even their business if you're friends with them or not. One last thing: act happy, and you'll become happy. If kids laugh at you, smile and laugh to either look nice or confuse them so they'll stop. When someone calls you something mean or does something bad to you, just smile or grin, or laugh, and say you don't care, or just ignore it. And try to communicate with your friends more, or try to get new friends with a positive attitude.
Sorry for the long answer, but one last thing. Don't run away from your problem, and definitely don't commit suicide. Life is rough now, but it'll get worse if you run, and you'll never be able to experience the most you can make of life if you get rid of it now.
Good luck! ^_^

Please don't feel that you won't be undersood by your mother. Most parents won't admit it but they all struggled at one time or another in school and adolesence. Its a real tough time in life, so many things change, hormones, bodies, interests, friends. Just be mindful that the energy that you create in yourself, both good and bad has a way of attracting similar events around you. To coin a phrase my grandpa always used, you become like those you associate with. Which is why its ever so important to have good friends, people that will help you become better and to feel good about yourself. Please try and talk to your mother again. And this time tell her that you would really like some advice, and then just listen to what she has to say. She loves you and would not want you to suffer or be hurt anymore, but she has to be told whats going on. Maintain the power within yourself to encourage yourself. All the best to you, remember u are not alone.

I used to go through similar issues. You just need to look out for yourself and know that, if all else fails, you can depend on yourself. By no means am I saying you should try to become an outcast and separate yourself from all of your friends and family. Instead, just know that *you* will always have your back, no matter what.
I once read a quote that said, "Stand up for what is right, even if you are standing alone." That quote can be somewhat applied to your situation. Just stand up for yourself, depend on yourself, and believe in yourself. Tell yourself that you are a good person, a worthwhile person, a person who can take care of herself and be independent and be as happy and proud as ever.
As for feeling depressed right now, time will mend things and things will get better. Just have faith in yourself. Try to ignore the things that hurt you and just enjoy everything that you love a little more.
I sincerely hope this helped. Good luck to you!

If you feel like you can't speak to your mom..try the guidance counselor. They are there to help...those so-called friends are not your friends if you cannot come to them with these kinds of problems...Remember that kids can be very cruel..The idea is for you to have the last laugh...What I would suggest to you...is to concentrate on something that makes you happy and forget about trying to please people who don't care about you.
Guidance counselors aren't going to help you because of gossip...that's not what they are there for, but if you feel like running away or killing yourself...then they can help....YOU NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE!..Please talk to someone!!!

People can be mean, rude, and heartless but you cant let them get to you. You sound like a nice person and dont let anyone else make you think otherwise.
high school girls can be especially harsh... but usually when they say things like that its because they are insecure of themselves and jealous of you... they know you are better than them and cant take it...
if it is really bugging you try talking to someone like a guidance counselor... they know what to do when things arent going well.
Just try to look at the upside of things... it could always be worse... try to look at what you have to be fortunate for...
i wish you the best of luck... truly i do... and dont forget to smile! ;)
