how long does it take a resdient to get a passport ?

Residents don't get passports, only if you are bothe a resident AND a citizen. Of what country? You didn't say - are we supposed to be mind readers here??

Normal processing takes 6-8 weeks but you can pay ($60?) to expedite your application and it should take about two weeks. You can also apply for an emergency application ($100+) if you need it in a few days. You can also go to your local post office for more information - hope this helps!

Mine took about 2 1/2 weeks but I have heard they can take up to 4. You can pay extra to expedite the process and get it within a few days.

Well it depends but about 2 months if you need it sooner then you can expedite it for about 70 more bucks and that will come in less than a week.
