Angie,

You cannot repair split ends with shampoo or conditioners. They just "glue" the ends together, but the hair is still weak. You have to get a trim from your hairdresser.

If you really love your haircut and you don't want to part with any length, get a tiny trim and that will get rid of a lot of the split ends. As for shampoo and conditioner, I don't really have any suggestions other than use ones that are as natural as possible without a bunch of harsh, drying chemicals. To make your hair softer and not so dry, try a hot oil treatment a couple times a week or make your own by putting warm olive oil on your hair, leaving it on for 5 to 15 minutes and then shampooing with a natural shampoo. Good luck!

Hey, i prefer Redken shampoo and conditioner you can get it from a salon or price attack. It is one of the best. A good shampoo and conditioner will stop split ends from occuring. Also using a good treat will help after washing your hair. Redken and CPR are some good treatments you can use. Split ends also come from excessive heat. But i doubt you straighten your hair much any way.

I have dry wavy hair with split ends, and since its so dry, I use a two in one head and shoulders, and then another conditioner after that.

Use SUNSILK! It is the best. especially if you use the split-end formula shampoo. It makes my hair so soft and shiny! - hopefully it'll make your hair the same way.

A couple of years ago I tried everything. Unfortunately you have to cut them off.
