Eek! you broke your wrist? that sucks :( You can get stronger pain medication. I usually take four OTC strength Ibprophen tablets (200mg for a total of 800mg which is prescription strength). It works well, but for something like a broken bone, you need to get an opiod-type pain medication.. which only doctors can prescribe and only for serious injuries.

SO, in your case, I would talk to your professors and see if they can help you out by giving you a little bit more time with homework or tests. Professors are usually very sympathetic when it comes to things like this. Hope you'll feel better soon!

This I am not sure I can help much. But a reference book that is well worth reading when you are up to it dealing with muscles, pain and referred pain is The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. (Teaches how to fix the problem yourself).
