tell her she deserves better and there are so many hotter and sweeter guys out there...just be there for her and listen to her cry....then take your friend out and force her to have fun and forget about the loser that dumped her.....

tell her you are sorry, and offer to talk to the boyfriend for her if she wants. She may have something she wanted to say to him, but didn't get a chance. Whatever you do, just listen to her. Most people tell friends not to feel bad. Don't tell anyone how to feel ever. That's not a good approach. Point out to her her good strong qualities, and try to find some positives about the situation.
Just listen to her and be there for her. It will take some time to get over, but be a good listener. Don't tell her he is a loser either, because that makes it sound like you think her judgement sucks. Good luck.

Give her time to have a cry and some space but dont let her sook too long.
Take her out somewhere to take her mind off it. If he really meant alot to her I dont think there is anything that you can say that will make her feel better.

It's different with everyone. You already know the best thing to say and do, just follow your instincts. We all intuitively sympathize with another being, and just say what you'd want to hear if you just broke up with your guy/girl.

Really, the best thing to do is just offer your shoulder and be at her disposal.

Do something fun with her...maybe a movie or a beauty night or just talk to her. Tell her that you know it is tough but that it really will be for the best. Nothing is going to make it better right now. Just try to listen and be there for her and let her be sad and cry if she needs to, but tell her to try to look at the fun stuff that you guys can do now and that it will be okay. I know it doesnt feel like it right now, but it will.

My bestfriend has always been there for me through any break-up and it really helped that she was just there to be my shoulder to cry on and to listen to me when I'd vent about it. She'd let me know that I could do better, and that she'd be there to listen whenever I might need it. I have a great bestfriend!

Schedule a girls night in....movies, pizza, ice cream, gossip...take her mind off things...that usually helps....

and also, just listening to her if she wants to vent...
