I think turbo tax is a great deal and worth the money. It is much cheaper than going somewhere to have your taxes done and has found/saved me money every year I have used it (this is my fourth year). I think it is great. But someone who works for a tax place is probably always going to tell you to go there...

Try using the IRS website (www.irs.gov), as they have a free e-file system.
I am kind of irritated with Turbo. We paid $45 for the program and did our taxes. Then we discovered it would cost $29.95 to e-file through them, and an extra $29.95 if we wanted the cost deducted from our refund instead of charging it to our credit card. I most likely won't buy them next year.

Yes, if you don't make any errors in your information you put into their system. I say this because, I recently filed my taxes w/ them, but I entered the last digit in my social security number in wrong. That caused my federal taxes to be rejected by the irs. which was not a big problem. The BIG problem was that their system(TurboTax) wouldn't allow me to change my SSN. Than when I finally got to speak w/ a turbotax rep. they were unable to tell me why their system wasn't letting me change my SSN and refile. So my advice to you is; Where ever you decide to go and file your tax return, MAKE SURE your information is correct before it's e-filed.

Great deal if you have fairly simple taxes.
