OK the person who had prev owned the car must have had an aftermarket CD player and when the got rid of the car, instead of unhooking it, htey just snipped the wires. So after we went out and bought a whole new wiring kit, and we hooked the stocl stereo back up, everything works, but no sound is coming out at all.

Make sure the original speaker wires are connected to the original speakers. If that's not it double check your wires there are several that are or appear to be the same color, yet they do different things. this takes some time. I would advise finding an original plug (check salvage yards) wire in the original plug the use an adapter plug (less than $10) if you add another aftermarket radio. Also try checking the fuses near the floor on the passanger side. (#10 fuse; chime)
