I'm *FINALLY* getting my wisdom teeth, and it's hurts so bad.
Anyone know any good ol' fashioned things i can do to stop the pain?

(besides advil, tylenol etc)
:)

Awe, wisdom teeth can really hurt. You need to have them removed by a dentist or oral surgeon as soon as possible. If you allow them to continue to grow in this may cause crowding of your other teeth.
Also they are so far in the back they are hard to keep clean even if your mouth does have enough room.
As far as the pain now, warm salt water rinse.
Sometimes sucking on a cough drop has a bit of a numbing effect. Things like orajel or other topical agents can actually do more harm to your tissue than good, so try to avoid them. Call a dentist as soon as you can!

I am with you and can completely sympathize- I got all four of mine removed today. They put me to sleep for the procedure so it was not uncomfotable. I have never heard that the pain stays forever- I think someone is pulling your leg. Unless you have other complications you will have a couple of days of pain and discomfort, a week at the most and you should be fine. I am on day one and one side does not hurt at all the other is pretty painful but they said it was a lot harder to get one on that side out. I am taking the pain meds they gave me and using ice- the ice is essential for pain relief and faster healing. Right now for the most part, I am more uncomfotable than anything else.
Just before oyu get this done , I would go and get about 5 of those flexible hot/ cold ice packs- I used these for a different surgery I had and recovery time was much faster than expected. Use the ice to control the inflammation, dont be afraid to keep it on as long and often as possible, just wrap it in a towel or light piece of fabric and hold it to the side of oyur face. Besides the pain meds, ice should be all oyu need and will likely be all the dentist recommends.
I hope that all goes well for you.

If you have to have it removed they dont chop the top off. They extract the whole tooth. If I were you I would visit my dentist just to make sure there isnt an infection and that its growing in straight.

You can try chewing on a clove (yes, the same one you use in cooking) which can numb your teeth. However, it'll also numb your tongue and leave a bad taste in your mouth. Otherwise, the only thing i can reccommend is ibuprofen.
